Pancreatitis

Pancreatic diseases comprise acute and chronic pancreatitis characterized by severe inflammation of the pancreas. Pancreatitis may also be categorized as hereditary pancreatitis and necrotizing pancreatitis. Other disorders of the pancreas consist of endocrine and exocrine syndromes, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Pancreatic divisum is a congenital disorder in which the pancreas is not combined but it will present as two to three different parts.
